Devastatingly a “beautiful, talented and caring” young primary school teacher has been found dead in Cator Park, Kidbrooke, London, UK.
Sabina Nessa,28, was on her way to a first date at the Depot pub, Pegler square, Kidbrooke Village. She left her home in Astell Road just before 8.30pm on Friday September 17th 2021 for a journey that should have taken her about 5 minutes, but she failed to arrive at her destination. Police have confirmed her failure to arrive was not reported by her date who, allegedly, was someone she had known for a while.
Tragically, Sabina’s body was found the following evening at around 5.30pm by a member of the public, away from the general footpath. She was found near the OneSpace community centre, in Cator Park, hidden under a pile of leaves. The post mortem results were inconclusive in determining the cause of death but police have announced they believe she was fatally attacked as she walked through the park on her way to the pub.
Two men aged 40 and 38 years old were originally arrested on suspicion of murder but was released while under investigation. Following an extensive police investigation another man, Koci Selamaj, 36, from Eastbourne in Sussex has since been charged with murder. He appeared at Willesden Magistrates Court on Tuesday September 28th, 2021, to confirm his name, age and date of birth and is scheduled to appear at The Old Bailey for a Bail hearing on Thursday 30th September, 2021, where he is expected to enter a not guilty plea. Police issued CCTV camera footage Selamaj and a car they believe he had access to which led to his arrest and the discovery of his Nissan Micra.
