The world awoke to the most amazing news today. Cleo Smith from Carnarvon, Western Australia has been found alive after an 18 day search for her. Police rescued her from a house in Carnarvon in the early hours of the morning. Happy heart!! ♥️ For those unfamiliar to the case, Cleo had been camping with her family at Blowholes Campsite, Western Australia, on October 16th, 2021, when she was snatched from her tent during the night. As fellow crime buffs know, after that amount of time, abduction cases, especially ones involving children, don’t generally have a happy ending.
A 36 year old monster man has been taken into custody and is expected to be charged later today. I hope Cleo didn’t suffer at the hands of the beast that took her. Police said she was smiling and full of energy when they rescued her and when asked her name she replied “My name is Cleo”. She is now safe and back where she belongs – in her Mummy and Daddy’s arms. And another predator is off the streets. Great police work, well done to all those involved in the investigation and rescue! Welcome home Cleo!

John Eisenman, 60, took this quote literally and ran with it. The Spokane, Washington, resident has admitted to hunting down his daughters 19 year old boyfriend, Aaron Sorenson, tying him up, stashing him in the trunk of his (Eisenman’s) fiancé’s car, bashing him over the head with a cinder block before stabbing him to death. Why? Because Sorenson allegedly sold Eisenman’s juvenile daughter to a Seattle sex trafficking organisation. Thankfully, Eisenman was able to rescue his daughter from the sex-traffic trade and bought her home. It was then he learned of Sorenson’s involvement and embarked on his revenge.
Assuming all the info released so far is accurate then, rightly or wrongly, I don’t really condemn Eisenman for his actions. Was killing Sorenson going a bit far – probably, maybe. Would I do the same in Eisenman’s position, probably, definitely. To be clear, I’m not saying what Eisenman did was right, I’m saying if someone hurt my child, given the chance – I would do the same. Unfortunately for Eisenman, he has now been charged with first degree murder and held on a $1 million bond, a definite downside to avenging a loved one.
Sorenson was killed back in 2020 and Eisenman claimed he left the body in the car, abandoned, with the car battery removed, so no one could drive it away. (Seriously! 🙄 The car was his fiancés, for goodness sake. Amateur move. He may as well have left a come and get me note with his address on it.)
Unfortunately for Eisenman, someone stumbled upon the car and drove it back to Spokane. I guess they replaced the battery?? Anyway, they then abandoned the car again (probably after they looked in the trunk) and a few day later some inquisitive locals were rummaging through the car, looking for goodies when they discovered the body of Sorenson. They found more than they bargained for that’s for sure! By the time his body was discovered, Sorenson had been dead for around a year. To be honest, I’m surprised Eisenman didn’t burn the car, although thinking about it further, that would have attracted attention to the vehicle, the body and the crime. Hmm, 🧐 What would you have done in that situation? 🤔 Dump and run? For starters, I would have used someone else’s car, someone not connected to me.
